A Visual Guide To Eating On Thanksgiving

Being a new mother is not a time you want to be abusing your body. You’ve got at least 1 big reason to take care of yourself – on Thanksgiving, and every day.

We’re not splitting the atom here.
Taking care of your body is pretty simple stuff. If you want to look good and feel good for a long, long time – like forever – you have to make some choices*. Yes, every day. Birthdays, Christmas, Flag Day and Thanksgiving.
But… and this is a big BUT… well, not that kind of a big “but”…
The *choices (are you getting the theme here?) can be amazingly delicious and satisfying, without putting you in a food coma. I know. I’m sucking your “it’s tradition to slip into a food coma on Thanksgiving” buzz. Please. It’s time to grow up.
Here we go.

I told you this was easy. Sure, the crap -  I mean the food on the left is yummy, but it’s bad for you. And, furthermore, it’s not like the choice is between that and cardboard. Have you ever had mashed cauliflower? Then stop sneering. Made with a little unsweetened almond milk, roasted garlic, sea salt, pepper, and a drop of olive oil (or butter if you must), it is seriously velvety, smooth, rich deliciousness!
Don’t just “talk the gratitude”. “Walk the gratitude”. Instead of abusing your body by gorging, be mindful of the blessing of a healthy body, and show your thanks by treating that body with love and respect.

Love the visuals! This is a great reminder that we are in charge of what we choose to eat! I am a fan of roasted veggies and roasted turkey! And I have had mashed cauliflower and enjoy it when made the right way. I also love steamed green beans with almonds instead of green bean casserole. Great alternatives shown here!!

The food on the left looks very tempting, but if we want to keep our selves healthy we have to think twice again! Nice information you got here…
